The Mount Alvernia College iCentre presents: “You can’t ask that”
Phillip Dreise, is a Lecturer at Australian Catholic University, undertaking a PhD. He is a highly regarded teacher and he is a husband and father. Growing up with both German and Aboriginal heritage Phillip knows first-hand some of the issues and difficulties experienced by our First Nations peoples.
Phillip has agreed to meet with us to tackle some hard questions in the first of our Living Book series – “You can’t ask that”.
We welcome staff, students, and parents to attend our first session. It is also a great opportunity for those students in Years 9, 10 and 11 History who have just completed studies or are currently studying the rights and freedoms of our First Nations people. We encourage all those attending to put your thinking caps on and come up with some questions for Phillip, even the ones you think, “You can’t ask that!”
Where: Mount Alvernia iCentre
When: Thursday 21st July
Time: 3.30 – 4.15
The iCentre are excited to welcome Phillip and we can’t wait to see you all there Thursday afternoon (Week 2).
