Ready to Research
It’s research season!
Across the college, students from a range of Learning Areas are in the process of conducting research. Specifically, Teacher Librarians are working with senior and junior classes in Science and Humanities.
Teacher Librarian, Krystal Gagen-Spriggs, put together the following PowerPoint to use with science students to unpack the research process and the use of data for making scientific claims. Students are also reminded that Research Guides are also available on the iCentre OPAC.
Finally, as stated in the PowerPoint, we highly encourage students to ASK FOR HELP when they are researching.
No question is too small or stupid.
It’s a steep learning curve and it’s ok to need help.
It takes time and practice to get good at this.
The ASK a Librarian button on the Home Page of the iCentre website is one tool that students can use when they have a research question. Click on the icon below to go to this page.
