Read Like a Girl Literacy Week Festival

Our Literacy Week celebrations in the iCentre were a huge success and enjoyed by both students and teachers alike. Photos of the student and staff party are now available in the Photo Gallery on the website.

We had lots of activities during the week including:

A student and staff party on Wednesday

*The iCentre staff dressed in the Peter Pan theme*

A full day writing workshop on Thursday, and

Book in a Day

A pizza party on Friday for the Principal’s Reading Challenge winning Home Room.

*Captain Hook won the prize for the best costume which was well deserved.*

As well the Literacy Committee presented the data on the state of reading at Mt Alvernia and celebrated some positive data they had collected showing the improvement across the school that had been experienced over the 12 months.

The week was full of fun!
