Queensland School Library Week 2020
Date Published: 09/02/2020
This week is Queensland School Library Week and the theme for the week is School Libraries Build 20/20 Vision.
This theme invites us to look to the past, celebrate the present and create a vision for the future of Queensland School Libraries. Remember the difference that your school library has made in the lives of staff and students in the past. Celebrate the ways your library continues to:
-
connect students with digital literacy skills,
-
resource teachers to deliver curriculum,
-
foster a reading culture at your school that connects students to the wider world. (http://www.qsla.org.au/)
This year, the following competition will be held which has been inspired by the theme. Entries close on Friday 14 February, so make sure you are in it to win it!
The week will culminate with Library Lover’s Day on Friday 14, and the theme this year is Uncover something new. Show your love for your library on Friday and join in the fun. Plenty of resources are available HERE to help you celebrate.
