New Audiobooks in the iCentre
We have a range of new audiobooks in the iCentre ready to be borrowed. There are 10 new fiction books ranging in genre as well as the non-fiction book ‘Welcome to Consent: How to say no, when to say yes and everything in between’ by Yumi Stynes and Melissa Kang. Have a look at the covers below and make sure to check out at the carousel on the OPAC to keep up to date with when new copies have been added to the catalogue.
Why audiobooks?
According to the Audio Publishers Association, audiobooks help “build and enhance vital literacy skills such as fluency, vocabulary, language acquisition, pronunciation, phonemic awareness, and comprehension—skills that often boost reading scores.”
So if you prefer listening to your books rather than reading the words on the page, check out the OPAC to borrow an audiobook, or pop into the iCentre if you need a hand. Also, keep an eye on the OPAC for the following titles, which we will have the audiobooks for hopefully next month:
Cult of Romance by Sarah Ayoub
Forty Favours the Brave by Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills
Not Now, Not Ever: Ten Years on from the Misogyny Speech by Julia Gillard
