Esme’s Wish by Elizabeth Foster – Review by Sophie Mitchell Yr 8
Each time I closed Esme’s Wish, I was left wondering what would happen next.
I love how there is a mixture of a whole new fantasy world and ancient Greek history – I’ve never read anything like this splendidly original novel
Although it is quite an easy read, the mystery of what happened to Esme’s (pronounced ehz-mee) mum kept me intrigued.
At the end of every page, one tiny word or phrase swung the plot around, bringing a whole new light – sometimes good, sometimes bad – to the storyline.
I really, really, REALLY hope there will be a sequel; a book cannot end this way!!!!!!
