Metal Fish, Falling Snow by Cath Moore is a tender, own voices story about a girl who has a magical view of the world and her search for identity.  The reader accompanies Dylan on her journey, both physical and emotional, to a sense of who she is.  It deals with big issues, including race, and is a portrayal of what it means to be an Australian of mixed heritage.
