APA 7 Guide to Referencing for Secondary School Students – Digital Version

Date Published: 19/10/2022

The Queensland School Library Association has produced an up-to-date APA booklet which closely aligns with the 7th and latest edition of the popular APA referencing style. Using the APA 7th edition manual as its base, the booklet outlines in extensive detail how to reference all types of sources using this style, and there are over 120 APA examples of sources included, ranging from social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to infographics, ClickView, YouTube, and more. Students are provided with clear and detailed information on how to integrate all sorts of quotes into their research assignments, correctly reference Tables and Figures and even learn how to write an annotated bibliography.

Author, Jennifer King, has now provided schools with a digital version of the guide for easy access no matter where you are.

Where to find the digital version

On the OPAC, type ‘APA 7’ into the search bar on the top left of the screen. The hard copy and digital copy will appear in your search results. Click on the digital copy and then click on the link to open the PDF version of the guide. This will open in a new screen.

We hope that this digital guide to APA 7 referencing will help students accurately reference their sources and improve the quality of their in-text referencing and Reference Lists.

As always, if you have any questions about the guide pop into the iCentre, or submit an enquiry through the Ask a Librarian function on the website.
