2019 Mount A: Book in a Day
The inaugural Mount A: Book in a Day in 2018 was such a success, that we ran the same activity in Literacy Week this year. We asked year 8 and 9 English teachers to nominate students; these girls were then invited to participate. In total we had 27 students take part and they formed 7 teams. We are excited to publish their work for you to read below!
Mount A: Book in a Day is based on the Write a Book in a Day competition. However, instead of 12 hours, the students are given 6! They are provided with a theme, scaffolds, and a collaborative space to plan and write. The theme is tied in with the Literacy Week theme; this years was Peter Pan, so the theme for their writing was never grow up.
We hope you enjoy reading the work produced by these very excited and keen young authors!
